What the quiz is for
Most people thinking about finance only hear about a handful of roles - investment banking, the Big 4, maybe trading. The reality is that the industry has dozens of pathways, and the lesser-known ones are often the best fits for how someone actually likes to work.
This quiz takes 10 honest questions about how you think, work and what you care about, and matches you to your top 5 finance career pathways out of 16. The goal isn't to box you in - it's to give you a starting point for research, conversations and applications, especially for the paths nobody's told you about yet.

A note from me
Hi, I'm currently a BSc Economics undergrad with a placement year at Aston University.
Something about communicating ideas from well-grounded research excites me, and I aspire to use my skill set of problem solving, communication and disciplined approach to tasks in specifically buy-side (investment management, wealth management) or sales and trading (Global Markets) roles.
Through my degree, committee roles and various internship and work experiences, I've been able to develop my quantitative skills in Financial Reporting, Modelling and Market Research. Most important to me, I've been able to navigate workplace expectations and collaborations to add value with the teams I've been assigned to, resulting in return offers and recognition for my skillset.
When my knees don't decide to give out on me, I dedicate my time to football and table tennis. With 8 years of weekly experience among 3 years of captaincy, these sports laid the foundations of my discipline, perseverance and organisational capabilities.
Giving back is imperative to me, so volunteering to help people in my community navigate early careers is also something I allocate my time towards.
I'm always looking to pick up new skills and develop my existing ones, and a connection is always taken with joy (I'm a huge talker!).
