Who runs this site

The Bum to BSc Quiz is run by Benjamin Kubi as an independent project. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to get your data removed. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Quiz answers - the option you pick on each of the 10 questions, stored against an anonymous session ID generated in your browser.
  • Email address - only if you voluntarily submit it on the results page to receive your playbook. You can take and view the quiz without ever sharing an email.
  • Basic, aggregate analytics - page views and share counts so we know which pathways resonate. We do not log IP addresses and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

What we don't collect

We do not collect your name, phone number, address, IP address, university, or any sensitive personal data. We do not profile you across other websites.

How we use it

  • To compute and display your top 5 pathway matches.
  • To send you the playbook and occasional follow-ups about finance early careers, if (and only if) you submitted your email.
  • To improve the questions, scoring, and pathway content based on aggregate response patterns.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase / EU region) with row-level security enabled. Only the site owner can read captured emails.

How long we keep it

Anonymous quiz results are kept indefinitely so your shareable results URL keeps working. Emails are kept until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To do so, email hello@bumtobsc.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a single first-party browser storage entry to remember your in-progress quiz answers across a refresh. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
